Chicken Chile Verde

6 4-oz boneless chicken breasts, no skin
1 cup salsa verde (jarred green salsa)
1 cup water
2 teaspoons chicken broth granules
1 green onion, chopped fine
2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
salt & pepper to taste
.
Mix together salsa, water and chicken broth granules in a slow cooker.  Add chicken, green onion and garlic. Toss gently to coat chicken with mixture.

Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours. Taste and add salt & pepper as desired. Serve chicken in whole portions or shred for low carb lettuce wraps.  Delicious as a spicy soup!  Simply double the chicken broth, water and salsa verde.
