H-E-L-L-O all!!! I am Lei Lei!
I did Atkins in 2003 and lost 39 lbs, but when my husband and I bought a house and packed up the kitchen, I started eating out and month after month. I told my self I would go back to eating low carb 100% of the time. Needless to say IT NEVER HAPPENED!!! I have tried several other programs these last couple of years and they worked for a hot minute -- and I mean a hot minute -- then nothing.
In November of 2005 I tried the South Beach diet so I could fit into my wedding dress. I lost about 10 pounds over a 3 month period. On my wedding day January 28th 2006 I weighed 147. By the time March came I was up in the 150s -- then by June the 160s!
I kept telling myself I was going to start a diet and exercise program. I tried running on my treadmill and doing Pilates videos -- nothing happened, maybe a 3-4 pound loss. Then we went to Disney World in July 2006 and I ate 2 funnel cakes in one day at a park then it hit me this is why I am getting big! I have lost control.
At that point I should have done what worked for me LOW CARB, but no, I had to waste more time and try some other diet. So during all of August 2006 I decided to do the Fitness model diet. You eat every 2-3 hours of fruits, complex carbs and whole grains. I did not gain or loose. I realized I need to stick with what works for my body! So I went Googling and found Kimkins. At that time it was $29.99, but I didn't have all the money and it ended up costing me $60.00 but it was the best 60 dollars I have spent in years.
I originally started in Sept 2006 @ 163 lbs and lost about 11 pounds that first 7 days. Then my Aunt died and I lost focus. Then I did the diet during the week and cheated on the weekends. I was playing with my goal and it began to piss me off! So what would be normally the worst time to start a new way of eating I choose Dec 11th 2006 to buckle down and do what I gotta do. I went from 158.5 to 127.5 in just about 3 months! I would have just a few pounds left till goal.
My husband is loving my new look (and my son who is 14) says his friends think I am hot! What a boost of confidence!!! I just want to thank God for leading me to this website and putting the desire to buckle down and do this new way of eating. Bless you Kimmer and all my new friends on Kimkins.com!
