I want to thank Kimkins and all the people in the forums for their support. My kids are gone and my husband left right after. I was at my lowest spot and felt really bad about myself. I heard about Kimkins and decided to try to get rid of my body fat for the last time --- and I did it! From 238 to 156 and that is GOAL for me!~!~!~! The day I hit Onederland I cried for 2 minutes straight.
Thank you wonderful people for making an old lady very happy.
[Betty, you did the hard work -- we were glad to help and be part of your success. Congrats!]

Count me in as a 1 year looser!! I joined after seeing the Women World article and seeing that girl who lost 100 pds in 5 months. I tried all my lif to loose wieght and just couldnt. I kept thinking about it and when I got paid I mailed a money order. I thought it would be hard to do but it wasn't at all and now I have lost 112 pds. Now I'm adding fruit and other carbs and bounce up and down 5 pds like Kimmer said we all will. Now my cousin is going to tryKimkins and I am going to help. Thank you for this diet it makes me feel good about myself again.

I started KK on July 6 at a weight of 310.8 lbs. Today is July 18, 13 days later, and I've lost 13.2 pounds! I can't believe it's SOOOO easy. I plan to incorporate moderate exercise into my day starting next week. Believe me, if I can do this, anyone can. I was the Queen of Carbs ... and truthfully, seeing results like this, I don't even miss them! Thanks, Kimmer, for a wonderful WOE. Eileen

I never did think this would work and I am so happy today that it did. Now today I am down 49 pounds and my children are proud of a new mom. My ex even said something almost nice the other day when he picked up the kids. I really did not think I would loose and that goes to show theirs always hope.

Just figured I would write a quick update / testimonial.... Back in June of 2007 I joined Kimkins at a weight of 169 pounds. To some that isn't much but it was a lot to me since I had always weighed between 120 - 125. I have had numerous knee surgeries and the extra weight was making my knee pain unbearable. Anyway, I hit my goal of 140 pounds by mid September 2007 and my knee pain had diminished considerably. I maintained my weight for a good 8 months or so but then slowly crept back up to 150. So here I am again with a new goal of 130 pounds by my birthday. Came back on July 12th and am already down almost 4 pounds in 3 days!
I am a major carbaholic and yes the first few days are the worst, but trust me when I say this........
If I can do it, anybody can!
Get past day 3 or 4 and it's much, much easier to stay on track. The pounds will simply melt away, your energy will boost and you will feel great!
[Lisa, good to hear from you and delighted with your Kimkins success! Check out the maintenance forum and share your tips.]

i'm glad to report that the kimkins one time membership fee is true. i joined 2 years ago and dropped out due to divorce and family problems. i was ready to start again and couldn't remember my log in information. i figured it had been too long and i would need to rejoin. then i contacted tech support and asked if they could help me or did i have to rejoin. they looked up my user name and password and i'm back in! they said there is only one fee and i will never have to pay again!!

I did it! I got on the scale this morning and I couldn't believe it said 138 lbs!! I started Kimkins after I saw it on the Woman's World magazine last summer. I wasn't going to buy it at first because I tried a lot of diets that were in that magazine before and never lost more than a few pounds. But something made me buy the one about Kimkins.
I started at 5'2" 271 pounds and that's a lot for a shortie like me! I fell off the wagon a few times but I kept going and today I weigh 138!!!!! I am almost half of my old self. I probably have 25 more pounds to lose for goal but I wanted to let anyone who's thinking of doing Kimkins to do it. This was the first diet to give me hope to look "normal" again.

This statement from en ediets article on weight loss plateaus is a perfect example of why I think Kimkins is a fantastic alternative to all the mainstream diets out there:
"To get beyond a plateau, try these suggestions:
# Reduce your daily calorie intake by 200 calories -- provided this doesn't put you below 1,200 calories. Fewer than 1,200 calories may not provide you with enough food, causing you to feel hungry all of the time. Hunger increases the risk of constant nibbling and binge eating."
I absolutely love that I stay in deep ketosis on this diet, and therefore I can eat MUCH less than 1200 calories (about one third to one half) without feeling cravings or hunger. The eating I always thought to be "emotional" turns out to be more related to physical cravings and hunger for me. Now that the hunger and cravings are gone, my eating is under my control and it isn't hard now that I know the rules.
Thank you, Kimmer, for having the guts to think differently from this mainstream party line, hold us accountable, and help us get down to the basics of an effective weight loss strategy. I will be forever grateful!

I also started Kimkins after reading the Womans' world article; I lost approximately 70 pounds between June 10th and December 31st.
It's the greatest feeling to shop off the rack in the ladies and not the plus size.
I set my goal at the top Weight Watcher goal for my height and age. For the last six months I have been satisfied with this 70 pound loss. I have been up and down about 5 pounds. I decided last week that I want to lose another 10 pounds and restarted with KK last Saturday. Finally got in ketosis today.
I would recommend this WOE to anybody who really wants to lose weight. It is fast so you don't get discouraged and a lot less expensive than some of the other diets I have tried in the past.
I love that my husband of 35 years is so proud of me. I always knew that he loved me but it didn't take a genius to realize that he was a little embarrassed that I had gotten so large. He never said it but how could he not feel that way when that was how I felt.
Anybody considering the program - jump in - you will not regret it.
[Patricia, congrats on your awesome success! A 70 lb loss is "tremendous"!]
