Nine days ago I was consuming any kind of food that I wanted. I was drinking almost 1/2 a box of white wine a night, and I was smoking atleast if not more than a pack a day of cigarettes a day!!! Pretty sad picture!!! I was going no where but down.

Now nine days later after starting the Kimkins plan I have lost 11 lbs and quit drinking alcohol completely! Now with the success I have already had with this WOE I have decided to quit smoking as well!!! So as of 11/12/06 I am a non smoker!!!! Thank you so much Kimmer I could not have ever done this on my own I feel like a new person, a better person!

OK, for the record: Kimmer is an effin' genius. I tested the deepest shade of purple on my ketostick this morning. I have NEVER done better than "moderate", the middle color. Never ever ever. I should, like, frame it or something

Wow! I'm so excited. It's only been eight days and I'm down 12.5 lbs! I didn't think Kimkins would work but it does! I'm getting married in 3 months and I'll be thin!!!

I wish I had learned about this WOE years ago, instead of wasting years doing all kinds of diets. I also did several liquid diets, but of course the weight came back. I have lost more weight in the past 4 months than I have in the past 20 years.

I got on the scale this morning and when I looked down to see 139.5, my eyes welled up with tears. It's a 4.5 lb loss this week. When I first started this WOE I thought I wouldn't hit 140 till mid-September at least. That's how slowly I lose on Atkin's. Now I think I might be at goal by then.

Just wanted to give a Shout-Out (learning to speak like the cool kids) to Kimmer and everyone else on this board that has contributed mightly to my weight loss. Your support, ideas and generally just hanging out here everyday reading and contributing and being a part of this wonderful family has helped keep me going. A lot of my health problems that I have had for a while and others that creeped up as I gained more weight have just gone.

I started this weight loss during a very difficult time for me personally and professionally. A side effect of the success I had contributed to where I wanted to deal with my other issues and I have tried to fix them although I am still working on it. I have another 25-35 lbs to go but the mountain doesn't seem that high anymore. Of all the things I have learned the most important thing of all was "Yes I can."
