When You Look In the Mirror -- What Do You See?

Posted by Kimmer in Untagged

I love checking the Kimkins community forums each morning. Whether a members have posted their latest weight loss success or a diet tip, I'm always learning something new.

One of my favorite daily threads is the "Question of the Day". Topics are directly targeted at weight loss and encourage us to take a look inside ourselves. Why do we make the food related choices we do?

This was today's question and a few random replies:

When you look in the mirror what do you see?

"On the outside--a body I cannot believe belongs to me! But, what's more, the inside shines through--I see someone who is really ALIVE for the first time in years, who truly has a hope and a future."

"I see the Sue that I use to be, I see a smile that I haven't seen in years. I see someone who I am proud of. I see my mom ......"

"Look in a mirror ...
I see smaller and healthier.
More youth and energy ...
No more being ashamed and hiding.
I see beautiful inside and outside too.
XOXO"

"I see a smaller, healthier me. I never thought I'd see this weight again."

"I see someone who I have not seen for years and years. The thin person in me has finally emerged. I still have the "fat" mentality and think I am still fat but when I look in a mirror I notice that I have a waist and my huge belly is gone. I then smile and tell myself "I knew you could do it." I am working on staying this way by "choosing what I am going to eat" rather than having a high-carb food tell me what to choose."
