The Diets

How Do I Pick The Right Diet?
Each Kimkins diet plan has a different focus.  Boot Camp and Shake It Off work more quickly.  Meat Lovers K/E is perfect for non-veggie lovers and to get into ketosis quickly.  Kimkins Classic is our most liberal plan with unlimited protein allowed.  Flex 1-2-3 is designed in a specific sequence of the quickest Kimkins diets and gives good results.  Veggie Lovers is ideal for our ovo-lacto vegetarian friends.

What Are the Maximum Calories?
We don’t count calories on Kimkins, but calories count.  Calorie intake will be higher at the beginning because you should eat until satisfied (but not stuffed).  In 4-5 days you will find your appetite dwindles and you naturally eat less.  Check the Food List for all foods including Boot Camp.

What Is The Maximum Fat Grams?
There is no fat gram limit.  Kimkins is a low fat weight loss plan.  Our rule is “Use the least amount of fat possible to make your menu work.”  Use cooking sprays, poaching in broth and grilling to reduce using oil.  Cheese is a “fat” on Kimkins and you should limit yourself to 1 oz per day for best weight loss.  Don’t get into the whipped cream or cream cheese trap.  That’s the fastest way to bring your weight loss to a screeching halt.

How Does Flex 1-2-3 Work?
Flex is a combination of 3 quick Kimkins diets.  The progression is designed to avoid hunger while achieving ketosis.  You should follow the plan exactly and not “modify” or switch days.  Day 7 is a Maintain Success day, or if you prefer quicker weight loss simply repeat Days 1-6.

Challenge Groups

How Do I Join A Challenge?
Easy!  Read through the various challenge groups in the Challenge Yourself forum.  Find one or two that seem like a good match for your lifestyle and weight loss goals.  Make a post to introduce yourself and you’re in!  Post often to give and receive support, encouragement and motivation.

Can I Join Any Challenge?
The majority of Kimkins challenge groups accept new members constantly, but there might a few that only take new members at the beginning of the month.  Read post #1 in a challenge group to see what their rules are.  If you’re not sure if they’re taking new members — ask!

How Do I Start A Challenge?
Jump in and do it!  Click New Post and type the rules and objective for your challenge.  Give it good descriptive title and click Post.  That’s it!  Now wait for people to reply to your challenge and you’re all set.  Decide how often the group will weigh in, whether a weight chart will be kept and other details according to what your group wants.
