Giada de Laurentiis, host of her popular cooking show, Everyday Italian, on the Food Network, is a petite 5′ 3″ and a tiny size 2. Did we mention she’s a new mom to daughter, Jade?
.
During a recent interview Giada was asked how she stays so thin (and reveals she eats pasta every day)! Her secret? Simple portion control.
.
Giada explains, “I eat a 1 1/2 cup serving of pasta – not a bowlful! At a restaurant I always ask for an appetizer portion.
.
People ask, ‘How can you stop after a few bites?’ Because I love those bites. I could eat 10 more. Instead, I look forward to the next time. It’s not like I’ll never have it again.”
.
Take a look at Giada’s newest cookbook, Giada At Home, that’s full of recipes she shares from Italy and California. Lots of color photo illustrations and easy directions make this cookbook two thumbs up!
