Jalapeno Popper Burgers

Jalapeno Cheese BurgersServes 4

1 lb 95% extra lean ground beef OR
1 lb ground turkey breast
3 oz pkg lite cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup canned chopped jalapeno peppers
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

In a small bowl mix together cream cheese, 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt and finely chopped jalapeno peppers.

In a medium bowl sprinkle remaining spices over ground beef and mix lightly.  Form 8 bun size patties that are 1/4″ thick.  Spoon 1/4 of cream cheese mixture on top of the 4 patties.  Sprinkle with pepper and top with remaining patty.  Pinch edges to seal burgers.

Preheat grill to medium high.  Grill burgers about 8-10 minutes each side and flip when browned.  Don’t press burgers with spatula or cheese will squeeze out!  When done serve on Kimkins Low Carb Rolls with lettuce, tomato and condiments.
