Hello Everyone,
.
My name is Robin and I am 55 years old. I am a chocolate and a carboholic.
.
I’ve been overweight, OK fat for most of my life. I have tried all kinds of diets. Lose a little, gain a little, lose a lot, gain allot and more.
.
Back in 1993 I weighed 351 pounds. I had my stomach stapled. Over the next year I had lost 150 pounds. Then as the years went by I regained most of my weight back. I didn’t want to regain all my weight back, but I didn’t know what to do. Junk food became my life.
.
Then I read an article from Woman’s World magazine in June 2007 about The Kimkins Diet plan. I thought, “This isn’t going to work for me,” or so I thought. After my family reunion in June 2007 and looking at some pictures of me from the reunion, I thought to myself, “I got to do something about this weight.”
.
So on July 8 2007 I started Kimkins at 309 pounds. My very first week I lost 18 pounds! I got so excited. I just couldn’t believe it (everyone loses differently). In 3 months I lost 60 pounds. At this time my brother and sister didn’t know I was dieting and they came for a visit and was amazed of how much I had lost. They were happy for me.
.
In 7 months I had lost 100 pounds. The holidays were coming and I was nervous. I did cheat and gained some weight back. But come January 2008 I got back on the wagon and started to lose again. Over the next several months I lost another 30 pounds. I lost a total of 130 pounds. During summer 2008 I went seesawing with being on and off the plan though 2010. With all the surgeries, personal problems, struggles, etc. I regained 40 pounds.
.
On January 3, 2011 I restarted Kimkins with my weight at 230 lbs. My first week I lost 8 pounds. I was excited once again! I have been in the valley too long and I am starting to climb this mountain once again. And I will make it this time. I thank God that I bought Women’s World Magazine. This diet plan has changed my life.
.
As of this writing since January I have lost 104 pounds. It’s coming off slowly, but everyone is different. I lost fast the first time I was doing Kimkins. Plus I had cheated 3 different days and had a 3 week stall of not losing anything this time.
.
If it wasn’t for the forums that I am in with all the support we give each other I wouldn’t be where I am today. I will continue to lose the weight and learn to stay on top of the mountain for maintaining.
.
How about you? Are you ready to climb up your mountain? Whether its Kimkins or your own diet plan, do it for yourself.
.
Happy Climbing,
Robin
